PEP High Five Pre-school Illustrated Chinese for Kids This series of books is designed for young non-Chinese background learners between the ages of 2 and 6. They are jointly written by Chinese and overseas experts in the fields of Chinese language teaching and pre-school education. This series are graded into four levels, with four books in each level. The main features include: clearly stated reading, behaviour, and social objectives that students are expected to reach at each reading stage; exciting and engaging reading materials that cover all of the learning objectives; easy to use assessment standards and activities; interactive and fun student worksheets and activities; content that allows student to work at their own pace and according to their own individual ability; colourful and inspiring artwork that aids in the students’ reading comprehension.
This series is designed to not only help children learning Chinese pass YCT-1 (Youth Chinese Test, administrated by Chinese Testing International), but also help them build a good foundation for passing IB or AP later on.
